Launch of the THOR E-Shop: Up to €200 off for the first 10 customers!
Let`s have a look at the installation process of the active exhaust system using Mercedes GLS 350d as an example and see what the result will be.
Let`s start with unboxing. An electronic control unit, harnessing and a speaker acoustic system itself are included in the package contents.
THOR control unit is located inside the trunk housing, is not visible and doesn`t take up too much space. Harnesses are connected to control exhaust from passenger compartment through standard systems.
Then you need to remove rear bumper. Speaker acoustic system will be located behind the bumper reinforcement. You have to make special brackets for safe fastening of the assembly.
Electronic exhaust is in its place, harnessing is routed through standard manufacturing holes. The bumper takes its place. You can remove shields from the trunk lid as now you have a whole set of exhaust system sounds including AMG.
